Last year we saw the inclusion of a new ride into the North & East Yorkshire ride calendar, Terrington. I really wanted to put this blog and video together because there was so much to enjoy and remember about this ride.
The views were fabulous, the bird song can be heard on the video sound track. Early on at the bottom of the hill where I was waiting first, there were plenty of flies. The weather was warm if not a little too hot at times, especially when tackling some of the hills involved.
I remember that there were plenty of smiling faces, and an abundance of places I could have picked out to photograph you all in. Being able to move around a ride for me is fantastic, and not always easy to accomplish. It all depends on the layout of the route and the timing of the riders setting off.
A couple of times I tried to leave my first location, and eventually had to run up hill through the trees before any more riders passed by.
Then making my way through the woodland from a car park to find the meadow, I could see where the riders were going to be and just couldn't get there in time.
So glad though to capture so many of you passing by me on a couple of occasions in different locations.
For the final few riders, I apologies for waiting for you at the top of that monstrous hill. It was a long old slog up there and it was tough in the heat, but at least you did not have much further to go after this point. Well done to everyone for getting round and passed the pigs with smiles on your faces.

My favourite shot of the day
I really like this shot of riders in the meadow. smiling faces as they know they are not far from the venue. I waited here for a couple of riders as the background view and tree helps to frame them and the overgrown meadow help to bring the riders forward into the frame.
