The weekend ride was way back in May, and a lot has happened since then.  We've had a baking hot summer, I got married and been on honeymoon and Sarah Wilkinson's socks have finally dried out.

So I have managed to piece together some footage from both days and created a couple of videos for you to view.  I would like to apologise for the length of the videos, but I can't as I enjoyed myself so much I could not stop myself.

If you have not tried this ride before then I would recommend you try as it is such a friendly and fun ride.

There are 2 different routes for each day and the option of staying over night to take advantage of both days.  Saturday is generally and starts in the afternoon.  I understand that the Fox inn is very accommodating for meals and refreshments.

One of the highlights is riding past the peacocks at a nearby farm along with the stunning moors and coastal views.

After a long day on the Saturday with the ride and then uploading all the photos, it was time to get ready and get back out on course.  Hopefully you can tell what a wonderful ride this is from the video and the different ways people tackle/attack the water crossing.  I love getting out onto the moors in the middle of nowhere waiting for you to come past, unfortunately it does give me too much time to think and end up adding more into the video.

I hope that everyone enjoyed the ride, and look forward to seeing you all at another ride soon.

Take care.

My favourite shot of the day

This section of the ride has become my go to first port of call for the Sunday section of the Jolly Moors weekend ride.  I don't think there is a correct way to cross, it just has to be done.  Some are tentative, some need to follow another horse and others just attack it with all they have.

That is just what Jamie Houghton and partner did here, and can be seen on the video.  I think Jamie also would win the biggest splash of the day as well.

Well done.
