Flighty Brough Park EGB ride May 2018

Not sure if it was the beautifully warm weather that we all enjoyed or the cows we encountered in a couple of fields, or the fantastic riding available at Brough Park, but a few of you were flighty and on your toes.

I love days like this, so good to be outside and at Brough Park I can sit in grassy fields waiting for you to arrive and put on a show, with fantastic waves and a few tongues sticking out (you know who you were).

Having a venue that offers, not only so many locations but also an opportunity to move around and capture images of riders more than once is really great from my point of view.

It gives me chance to get a variety of images, hopefully riders have more options to choose their favourite. The time really flies by when I limit the amount of time I spend in one location before moving on which is great as otherwise I could be sat around for up to 5 hours.

The longer the day went on the hotter it got, so well done to all who entered, organised and helped out.

Rides this good don't happen by themselves.

I hope that everyone enjoyed the ride, and look forward to seeing you all at another ride soon.

My favourite shot of the day
	This is Isobelle and Andrew, and there were quite a few shots I could have picked. Andrew is a veteran horse, and I come across this pair at several rides through out the course of a year. They generally have their own pace, take their time and enjoy the countryside, ride and each others company. To see Andrew in full stride was an unusual sight, but fantastic to see. He and Isobelle were in such great spirits and If you watch the video you can literally hear my delight as they pass me. Made my day.

Andrew, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. You have managed to capture the pure essence of Endurance riding! Partnerships, both equine and human enjoying the beautiful Great British countryside (up North). Individuals pottering along with their veterans enjoying the warmth of the day to those with a more competitive streak and making most of the good ground underfoot. Like humans, the horses came in all shapes and sizes, breeds and colours. Yet despite the diversity they all had one thing in common and it shone through in your video like the sun on the day. The common theme to me was curtesy . Most riders were thankful you were there, capturing “their moment on their horse” making memories to share. I would urge you to make contact with the PR representatives of EGB as I am certain there is scope for parts of your video to be used, with your permission, in a promo ad. Thankyou for sharing
