  A cold start but nice day

    So, back at Brodsworth.  I remember when I first attended a ride at Brodsworth and felt frustrated because was unable to find time to get out of the park and into the further reaches of the ride.  Now I am learning to embrace everything that Brodsworth country park has to offer, both for me and you the riders.

   Although there was a printed route, the ride this time was constrained to the confines of the park.  It doesn't take long for riders to start going around and making your own routes up, which must be refreshing for you to just ride and enjoy the views knowing that you are never too far from the venue.  For me it means that I can allocate so long in one location to see who rides past before I look to move on.

This is a very relaxed ride, probably because it is really early in the season and that you all just want to get out of the house in the new year and blow the Christmas cob webs away.  I think it is also down to the organisers and helpers who project their 'go and have a ride' care free attitudes and sense of fun that transcends into the riders.

Thank you for all the smiles and the brief chats when allowed.  Hopefully it won't be too long before I am invited back.
