It's a sell out for Escrick 18th February marked the start of the season for the North & East Yorkshire EGB group, the weather stayed fine and everyone brought along their smiles. A sell out ride is always a great way to start the year, and fantastic for the organisers to realise all their hard work come to fruition. Also, not every ride has a sponsor like R & R Country handing out fantastic goody bags. So, you can not help but enjoy yourselves and that's great as I think it really comes across on camera. 	Everything was going well, until about the fifth rider in when my battery died just as a small group went past and was unable to capture anything of Sharon as she rode past with her friend. Fortunately I was able to offer a print from the video footage to rescue the day. I have now retired this battery, or at least confined it to personal use at home. After this little incident everything went smoothly. You were all so spread out that I did not move on to my second location until much later than I expected but on the whole I am really pleased with my day.
I hope that you are enjoying the videos as much as I do, I particularly like the audio that goes with the photos. The thundering hooves as they roar past, the laughter of the riders and the brief chats we share all make my day out in the field an enjoyable one. Although, if I am getting mistaken for a scarecrow, maybe I need to move around a lot more. I hope that everyone enjoyed the ride, and look forward to se you all at another ride soon. Take care.
