  I lost my way a little

    Arrived nice and early on this beautiful Sunday morning at the Brodsworth Community Woodland for this year's War of the Witches ride.

All parked up and waiting for the off, I watched as the venue car park steadily filled with all kinds of vehicles and horse transportation, and the organisers erect their temporary shelter for the day.  Then with poster and business cards left, it was time to head out into the venue and stake out my first location for the day.

   I can't help myself, I need to move around at these rides.  Everything started well, and was in my first position nice and early.  Several riders and about an hour later the desire to wander took hold.  There are so many tracks and routes around Brodsworth so there are plenty of locations to try.  I did venture outside the park and followed a section of the ride to see if there were any other opportunities but this turned out to be road work and narrow wood trail.  Very nice for the horse and rider but not a great place to stake out and photograph.  However this put me in a position where I was not entirely sure where about the riders were on the track so started to meander around and photographed where ever i came across anyone.

I got back on track and continued to photograph where ever I found someone.  I also found a new view point to try the next ride I am there.  Hopefully, the photos show you all the kind a ride you can expect if you have not been here before and can add it to your ride calendar for 2018.

It was great to see all the fancy dress costumes and new riders out on the route.   Thank you for all the smiles, waves, thumbs up and brief conversation (some can be heard on the video above).  This really adds to my day photographing you all.
