Coloured Cobs at Cresswell Crags

I was really looking forward to attending the Cresswell Crag ride for Notts EGB, as I had walked our dogs around there when visiting my family. It did not disappoint. It is a wonderful setting and start for a ride, sat by the water listening to the birds awaiting the first riders. So relaxing.

As the morning progressed, It was apparent that this is a very popular place for families, joggers, runners and dog walkers - and was getting more difficult to isolate the riders and create a clean back ground. So it was time to venture out further into the route.

As this was a new ride for me, I did get the heads up about a canter spot in a field. So when I decided time was right that is where I headed for. The real surprise was the amount of great shooting locations, which is really useful as I prefer to walk the route and this enabled me to capture different aspects of the ride that you all seemed to be enjoying. Even if some got a little lost.

It was a real pleasure to be out there with you, and appreciate you taking the time to talk with me, ride past several times, line up for group photos and wait to ride past individually to create some cracking action shots.

The weather on the whole wasn't too bad, except for a short spell where I got really wet and had put away the tripod and video camera, as well as protect myself and other gear until it cleared up. I don't know what I expected from the ride, but my experience was far better than I could have hoped for and I thank you all for that.

I hope that everyone enjoyed the ride, and look forward to seeing you all at another ride soon.

My favourite shot of the day
	There were so many shots I enjoyed, but I think I like this particular one of a group of riders enjoying their ride together. I am not sure if it was pre-meditated but it all unfolded in front of me quite organically. Also, not sure if they realised that they lined right in front of the video camera, I'm sure it was more luck than judgement. Great to see them all getting into the spirit and enjoying themselves.
