Waskerley EGB ride

It's been a few weeks since the Waskerley EGB ride on 23rd of August.  The photos have been up for a while now, thank you for your orders, but I though I would share something else I was working on but only just found the time to put it together.

The first time I'd been to the first Waskerley ride was back in 2012, so I was looking forward to going back. returning to the same venue can be both good and difficult. I knew where I could get some great shots, so had this in the back of my mind, but with an advanced map I could plan my day a lot better and experiment more with my photos. The following short video shows me around the route and some of the shots I got.

My methods for photographing events like these is to try and involve myself with the ride and the way I have found to do this is to walk around the route from the venue and back.  By doing this hopefully I can capture a range of photos with different back drops to show the range of landscapes that everyone is riding through.  This can cause it's own problems as I will not always be in the best location at the right time, but does help my photography as I am then forced to work the location to my advantage.  And I love a challenge.

I hope you have enjoyed this little presentation, and if you have any thoughts or comments, I would love to hear from you.

Keep on riding and enjoying your horses.   If you see me on a ride route, please give me a wave.  It really give me a lift.
